SCOTUS Affirmative Action Discussion – Prohibition on Affirmative Action, Validation of DEI

The recent 6-3 Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) ruling that race-conscious admissions programs at Harvard and the University of North Carolina are unlawful will undoubtedly shape the future of affirmative action policies and have significant implications for society as a whole. Are Organizational Diversity Efforts Now Illegal? Does this mean organizations have to scrap their diversity efforts and lose the benefits of diverse perspectives that experts say can lead to improved organizational performance?

Organizational Ignition is hosting a discussion of the decision and its impact on DEI efforts globally with legal experts and business leaders. The event will be MCed by Mr. Ernesto Burden, Publisher of New Hampshire Magazine. Introductory remarks will explain the decision and explore various types of DEI goals. The panel will be facilitated by internationally known DEI expert and author of The Diversity Factor: Igniting Superior Organizational Performance, Mr. James McKim who will lead the discussion about the decision and the steps that can be taken to ensure diversity efforts remain legal as well as focused on improving organizational outcomes.
