SUMMARY:Measuring DEI: Beyond Simple Counts to Impactful Engagement & ROI @ NH BSR Conference
DESCRIPTION:You have made the decision to embark on a Diversity\, Equity\, & Inclusion (DEI) initiative. Good. Now how do you know whether or not your effort is successful? Management guru Peter Drucker has been credited with saying that “if you can’t measure it\, you can’t improve it.” That applies to DEI. If you can’t measure DEI in your organization\, you can’t improve it. \nJoin James McKim for a discussion during the NH BSR Prosperity Unleashed Conference on how to measure a DEI initiative that is based on the groundbreaking work of Dr. Edward Hubbard and Curt J. Howes. We will discuss the 3 types of DEI goals\, the 20 DEI goal areas\, how DEI goals should be aligned to overall organizational goals\, and methods for tracking your chosen goals that include Return on Investment (ROI). Learning Objectives By the end of this session\, you will be able to: \n\nidentify DEI ROI\nidentify the goals and metrics that are important in your DEI initiative\ndetermine methods to gather data about your DEI initiative\nunderstand how to analyze your data and draw conclusions from the analysis\n\nWhen you register\, use promo code “SPEAKERGUEST” to get $100 off  your ticket.

SUMMARY:Culture/Ethnicity\, Women\, Age in the Workplace
DESCRIPTION:Resmaa Menachem says that culture is the way our bodies re-enact history through the foods we eat\, the stories we tell\, and the images that move us.  But how does that impact how we show up in the workplace? \nThere are a record 5 generations in the workforce. Yet our society and employers seem to value only the younger ones. Research has shown that youth focus to be short-sighted when it comes to achieving superior organizational performance. \nResearch by McKinsey and others has shown that organizations that truly engage women at all levels outperform those organizations that do not. And despite claims to the contrary\, research also shows that truly and equitably engaging women equitably is not happening in the US. \nLearning Outcomes \nBy the end this workshop you will be able to: \n\nidentify the 9 components of culture\nidentify the 4 components of gender\nrecognize the challenges different genders face in the workplace\ninteract positively with people of different genders\nidentify the 5 generations in the workforce\nrecognize the values of people of different ages face in the workplace interact positively with people of different ages\n\nThe link to the session will be sent in an email after you register.
